Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR)

Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) was established in the year of 1969 by the Government of India to promote research in social sciences in the country. it provides grants for projects, fellowships, international collaboration, capacity building, survey, publications, etc. to promote research in social sciences in the country. Documentation Centre of ICSSR- National Social Science Documentation Centre (NAASDOC) provides library and information support services to researchers in social sciences.

Ghanakanta Baruah College: At A Glance

Ghanakanta Baruah College is one of the premier institutes of higher education in the district of Morigaon. It was established in the of 1993 with a view of transformative effect on the society and the community in Morigaon District by imparting quality higher education to all sections of society especially the rural and the downtrodden. Ghanakanta Baruah College is affiliated to Gauhati University. The college has received its recognition under section 2 (f) and 12(B) of UGC Act 1956. It is accredited B Grade in July, 2023 by NAAC in its first cycle of assessment.

At present, it holds around 1607 numbers of students in degree course with more than 32 numbers of both teaching and non-teaching staffs. The subjects offered by the institution includes Assamese, English, Economics, Education, Geography, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Political Science and Sanskrit. NCC, NSS, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIC, etc. are some of the programs which are running by a coordination of both students and teachers. One of the notable advantages is the students who are national players.

 

Transport and Communication:

The college is located in an ideal location in terms of accessibility of transport. It is about 75 kms away from Guwahati-the gateway of North-East India. The nearest railway station is Jagiroad Railway Station which is about 23 kms away from the college. The nearest airport is Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport which is near about 87 kms from the college. The nearest bus stop is Morigaon Bus stop which is only 1 km from the institute.

Guidelines for Abstract Submission:

Abstracts must pertain to original research works, either self-authored or co-authored, and must not exceed 250 words. The abstract must include the title of the paper, keywords, the author's full name, address, e-mail and contact details. The title of the abstracts should be capitalized. It should clearly mention the subject of the research work. For the abstract, front style "Times New Roman" with front size 12 and 1.5 line spacing should be followed. In case of Assamese Language, the text must be written in PageMaker (Ramdhenu), front style Geetanjali, Front size 15 and line spacing 18. Abstract must contain only 3- 5 keywords.

 

Full-Length Paper:

The Full- Length Paper must be between 2500 to 3000 words. Full paper must be written either in English or Assamese. In case of Assamese Language, the text must be written in PageMaker (Ramdhenu) front style Geetanjali. Front size 15 and line spacing 18. In case of English Language, the text should be printed in "Times New Roman" with front size 12 and 1.5 line spacing on A4 (In MS Word) paper layout with standard margins. The text must be sent either in MS Word or Page Maker. The paper should contain Introduction, Review of Literature, Methodology, Results/Analysis and Conclusion. At the end of the paper, there should be a reference list in the latest edition of APA format.

Publication:

The selected papers will be published in the form of a book with ISBN.

Concept Note

Entrepreneurship has emerged as a critical driver of economic growth and development globally, and India is no exception. As one of the world's fastest-growing economies, India presents a unique landscape for entrepreneurial endeavors. To develop strategy, contents and research work by exploring present style of entrepreneurship and future generation entrepreneurship opportunity.

Entrepreneurship is currently of paramount importance in India as it represents a viable solution to the pervasive issue of unemployment. However, within the academic sphere, discussions pertaining to entrepreneurship development are notably lacking, and the curricula scarcely incorporate these crucial subjects. It is imperative that the academic community engages in substantive dialogues about entrepreneurship to promote sustainable livelihoods and career prospects for our nation's students. We anticipate the submission of high-quality research papers from both academics and practicing professionals, with the aim of fostering vibrant and constructive discussions during the seminar sessions. In the era of globalization, our seminar's primary focus will revolve around the present landscape and forward-looking strategies for sustainable entrepreneurship. The ensuing discussions and outcomes have the potential to culminate in affirmative actions within the academic community, subsequently influencing societal practices. The overarching objective of the seminar is to develop comprehensive strategies, course content, research endeavors, and more, all tailored to the needs of emerging entrepreneurs, while promoting holistic sustainable development. Hence, our seminar is poised to offer substantial benefits to society as a whole. Furthermore, we intend to spotlight and explore the various sources, schemes, and government programs designed for the public's welfare. Incorporating grounded facts and empirical research in our discussions can lay the foundation for future planning by mitigating existing shortcomings. Consequently, we hold great expectations that the papers presented will positively impact societal betterment, shedding light on effective policy-making techniques for the future. Policy makers perpetually seek well-researched insights, comprehensive content, and field survey findings before formulating any policies.
