Academic Information :
As per Gauhati University rules, the college is presently offering six-semester B.A. courses with major in three years. The college offers the following subjects of arts stream.
1) Major Subjects: English, Assamese, Economics, Geography, Political Science, Education. (Students. with major in any subject must choose any one subject from the list of elective subjects)
2) Pass course Subjects: English, MlL (Assamese) Elective Language (Assamese), Economics, Political Science, Education, Geography, History.
Compulsory subjects :
1. General English
2. MIL. (Assamese) (Not for Assamese Major Students)
3. Environment Studies (in 2nd Semester)
Elective Subjects :
1. Economics
2. Political Science
3. Elective Language (Assamese)
4. History
5. Education
6. Geography.
N.B.: As per GU guidelines students with major in Assamese will not be allowed to undertake the same subject as an elective subject

For Boys: Black Pant and white shirt.
For Girls: White kurta, White Pyjama with Red chunni. (Leggings are strictly prohibited).Specially every Monday of the week. The girl's students must have to wear plain Muga or Muga Colour Mekhela, simple Red Pari Chaddar (Without embroidery ) and a plain Red Blouse
